Sydney, Wednesday 27th
June, 2001 - ISYS
Search Software is proud to announce the inclusion of ISYS Knowledge Management
Software in the Powerhouse Museum s latest online project Australia
Innovates, which lists the 100 most important Australian innovations of
the Twentieth Century.
Launched earlier this month,
the Powerhouse Museum has created a website focusing on the role of Australian
innovation over the last century. It is timed to commemorate the 100th
Year of Federation as well as the 25th Anniversary of the founding of
the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. The
project aims to promote awareness of the achievements of Australian inventors.
We are extremely honored
and excited for ISYS to be included amongst the likes of the Cochlear
Implant, the Black Box Flight Recorder, Vegemite and the application of
Penicillin, said Managing Director of ISYS Search Software, Ian
Davies.
The Museum and the Academy have
selected a diverse collection of Innovations, ranging from World Series
Cricket to the Atomic Absorption Spectrometer. The exhibit is divided
into categories covering all aspects
of Australian life and innovation. There are currently 90 on the website
with the Museum asking the public to nominate the last ten.
ISYS Knowledge Management Software
is developed in Australia by ISYS Search Software and exported worldwide.
The software was originally developed by Ian Davies in 1987 and since
then ISYS has grown into a multinational company with offices in the USA
and UK.
