Former Inktomi Customers Can
Switch to ISYS Search Software in Exchange For Current Annual Maintenance

DENVER, Dec. 11, 2002 - ISYS Search Software, a global

it is offering Inktomi customers an opportunity to switch to ISYS in exchange
for the amount of the customer’s current annual maintenance agreement.*
The announcement comes on the heels of the news that Verity Inc. has proposed
to acquire Inktomi Corp.’s enterprise search software business.
“Verity’s proposed acquisition of Inktomi’s
enterprise search business has prompted a number of Inktomi’s customers
to re-evaluate their search vendor partnerships,” said Ian Davies,

organizations with superior search technology at a price that’s practical

ISYS Search Software’s invitation offers existing Inktomi
customers the potential to save substantially when compared to Verity’s
list pricing and recent deals being offered by other search vendors.
