UK Police Forces Overwhelmingly Adopt ISYS Search Software

ISYS Search Software now used in 45 percent of United Kingdom Police Forces

CHESTER - 9th March, 2004 - ISYS Search Software, a global supplier of search software for businesses and public sector organizations, today announced that the UK's largest police force, the Metropolitan Police, has selected ISYS to provide search and retrieval functionality for its investigators. The win means that the ISYS range of search software is now used in 45 percent of UK Police organizations.

Australian-owned and headquartered in Sydney, ISYS Search Software first tackled the UK Police market only 12 months ago, achieving its first sale in June 2003, to Hertfordshire Police HQ. Since then over 20 other UK police forces have purchased the award-winning ISYS software, including the Greater Manchester Police, West Midlands Police, Merseyside Police and Sussex Police.

Police organizations use ISYS to help find information that may appear in a range of different reports, databases and other law enforcement resources. Investigators can perform keyword searches to uncover any relevant information and use features such as synonyms to find occurrences of similar words or aliases. The software is also used during court proceedings, where it enables prosecutors to quickly check facts and transcripts whilst a trial is underway.
