Westchester County District Attorney Selects the ISYS:sdk to Add Search Functionality to Proprietary Case Management System

Use of ISYS' search software developer's kit demonstrates company's growing adoption by local government

DENVER - June 18, 2003 - ISYS Search Software Inc., a global supplier of search software for business and government, today announced the Westchester County District Attorney's office has selected ISYS:sdk to power the search capabilities for its internal case management system.

As longtime customers of ISYS' search solutions for workgroups, the district attorney's office recently chose ISYS:sdk to integrate information retrieval capabilities into a proprietary application it is currently developing. Once complete, this application will enable users to perform global searches across multiple databases, documents and spreadsheets.

As part of the integration process, Westchester County's developers employed the ISYSMAGIC utility. Designed to speed integration, ISYSMAGIC is a command-line interface that enabled the development team to make calls to the ISYS engine using a single line of code. This, in turn, ensured the developers could focus more time on building out their custom application and less time on integration.

Representatives of the district attorney's office stated this utility could not be found in competing solutions they evaluated and was key to their implementation. Although specific to Westchester County's use of the MAGIC programming language in this instance, the ISYS command-line interface can be used by a variety of non-traditional languages to drive ISYS search at a high level and reduce integration time.
