Spotlight

If you haven't yet discovered the power of ISYS, we're giving you an even better reason -- ISYS:web 7 has arrived! As you might expect, we're excited about our new technology, and thus tempted to describe it in big, flowery terms ("packing a turbo-charged punch" comes to mind). But our customers say it best, and even longtime ISYS users are impressed with ISYS:web 7's breadth of functionality and ease of implementation.

Designed to provide your website, intranet or portal with advanced search functionality, ISYS:web 7 is easily deployed out of the box or customizable via its included developer's toolkit. Even better, you won't have to pay an arm and a leg for this power and flexibility; ISYS doesn't restrict you with per-document charges or term licenses.

New features include on-the-fly categorization for enabling rapid results navigation; ISYS SearchTrends, which provides webmasters, content managers, marketers and more with valuable insight into search behavior; superior metadata searching and handling; and 100-percent browser-based and remote administration.

But don't take our word for it. Download ISYS:web 7 directly from our website and evaluate it for yourself.

Success Story

Wall Street Systems has a rich history of delivering single-server, enterprise-wide solutions to the world’s leading financial institutions and corporations.

Much of its success can be attributed to its team of dedicated and talented software engineers, who spend their professional lives working with more than 10 million lines of code. Traditionally, the volume of this code has presented Wall Street Systems with considerable challenges when trying to ascertain required changes for facilitating a fix or enhancement.

Looking to ensure greater quality decisions while simultaneously reducing the time spent conducting impact analysis, Wall Street Systems selected ISYS to provide its employees with a single window into its content repositories.

Riddle

If this one doesn't keep you busy, then we clearly aren't trying hard enough (or you've seen it before, cheater!).

Pronounced as one letter,
And written with three,
Two letters there are,
And two only in me.
I'm double, I'm single,
I'm black, blue, and gray,
I'm read from both ends,
And the same either way.
What am I?

2005 Trend-Setting Product

KMWorld Magazine recently named ISYS:desktop 7 as a 2005 Trend-Setting Product. Read the details

Reader Survey
Now that the ISYS 7 suite has finally arrived, what are your upgrade plans? Click the option that best suites your current situation.

Be sure to check the next issue of ISYS Update for the results of this survey.

Last issue's results:
In the last edition of ISYS Update, we asked what are the primary variables you use when evaluating enterprise search products.

Nearly two-thirds of respondents cited cost of ownership and deployment timeframe as primary drivers.

Approximately 25 percent said features and functionality and return on investment were key to their decisions.

Oddly, only a paltry 5 percent pointed to security as a core criteria for evaluating search.

Focus On: Jason Becker

Meet Jason Becker
ISYS has a new kid in town, and he goes by the name of Jason Becker.

As the newest member of the ISYS sales team, Jason is based in the US, focusing on the southern territory, as well as Massachusetts, New York and Latin America. He comes to ISYS after successfully serving companies such as IHS and New Horizons.

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Jason is the father of three beautiful girls and a veteran of the marriage circuit, having logged more than 17 years with his lovely (and might we add, tolerant) wife Wendy. In fact, the two recently celebrated their anniversary.

When he isn't watching his 7-year-old play soccer, Jason and his crew can usually be found exploring parks, museums and, as of late, pumpkin patches.

Jason is a man of eclectic tastes, spending his time listening to everything from Metallica to Puccini. This diversity is also evident in his choice of movies, from which he pulls such memorable quips as Caddyshack's "Be the ball, Danny!" and Casablanca's "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!"

If you haven't yet had the opportunity to speak with Jason, drop him a line and say hello. He does a pretty mean Scottish accent.
