ISYS® Search Software Partners With Lucid Imagination

Pioneers of Apache Lucene/Solr Open Source Search to Leverage ISYS File Readers for Advanced Text Extraction

SYDNEY, June 9, 2009 – ISYS® Search Software (http://www.isys-search.com), a global supplier of information access and discovery solutions for mining intelligence and corporate knowledge, today announced it has partnered with Lucid Imagination, a commercial company dedicated to supporting open source Apache Lucene and Solr search technologies.

As part of the partnership, Lucid Imagination will use the ISYS File Readers document filter solution to supply its open source search implementations with advanced text extraction.  Today’s typical enterprise deals with millions of documents in hundreds of different formats, and ISYS File Readers provides the critical first step of extracting text from these documents so that they can be indexed by an open source search solution.

The ISYS File Readers document filter solution is the newest addition to the ISYS family of integrated, embedded search software for OEMs, ISVs and solution providers.  The ISYS embedded search suite also includes ISYS:sdk 9, which is currently used inside several enterprise-class applications, including the EMC SourceOne suite, HP TRIM, Autodesk’s AutoCAD, and more.
