ISYS® Search Software Names Bob Smith as President, The Americas

Global Supplier of Enterprise Search, Information Access and Discovery Taps Silicon Valley Veteran to Lead Aggressive Growth, Rapid Expansion in the Americas

DENVER, Feb. 17, 2009 – ISYS® Search Software (http://www.isys-search.com), a global supplier of information access and discovery solutions for mining intelligence and corporate knowledge, today announced it has named Bob Smith as the president of its Americas division.

Smith leverages more than 20 years of software sales and executive management experience to lead ISYS’s sales, marketing and operations for North, Central and South America.  Smith comes to ISYS from Format Dynamics where, in his role as the chief operating officer, he established the company’s first major commercial deals for its SaaS environment with customers that include CNET, ESPN, Expedia and Time Warner.

Prior to this, he served as the president and COO for Ping Identity.  Under his leadership at Ping, he ramped up the company’s revenue to $14 million in 24 months while establishing a new management team.  Smith also previously served as president and CEO of both Aligo and Harmony Software Inc., and as vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Be Inc., where he helped conclude the company’s IPO.

Smith’s hiring comes at a time of high growth and record sales for ISYS, which began when the company hired Scott Coles as its new CEO last July.  In recent months, ISYS has won several large-scale enterprise accounts and established channel alliance groups for both The Americas and EMEA, both being led by industry-veteran directors.
